HST Station at the Airport Brno Tuřany
Viktora, Jakub ; Hladík, Antonín (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor)
High-speed corridor is the future of travellibg. Many Eauropian states have begun with building it a few years ago and it works well. The Czech Republic still does not have this form of transport, but due to the location it will be necessary to build high quality railways even here for the future connection across Europe. This thesis deals with the construction of high-speed train stop (the HST) nearby the airport Brno Turany. The service follows the previous semestral work - Brno main railway station. The HST station building is drafted as a bridge over the rail and the platforms, it works not only as a check-in and waiting area but also like a pedestrian crossing over the corridor. The solid responds to the airport nearby and used bridge construction to smartly takes roof up. Public parts are at ground level, technical background and maintenance are located along the platforms below the ground level.
Design of the North Junction from Hranice na Morave to HSR Line
Gelová, Zuzana ; Janoušek, Jan (referee) ; Dušek, Erik (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is the design of railway junction from high-speed rail RS1 Bohumín – Přerov to railway station Hranice na Moravě at a speed 160 of kph. The design has been developed with minimisation of land occupation and the minimisation of engineering structures. The next aim is the design of two pairs of railroad switch on the high-speed rail. Part of the thesis is the design of the railway substructure, railway superstructure and track drainage.

Selected factors of mode choice on the Prague-Munich route in the context of the planned high-speed rail construction
Petříček, Jakub ; Marada, Miroslav (advisor) ; Chmelík, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to define in more detail a safety factor, a factor of passage of time and an ecological behaviour factor influencing the mode choice on the Prague-Munich route in relation to railway as a reference mode, and to estimate the change in mode choice after HSR completion with emphasis on defined factors. The work qualitatively analyzes the sets of ideas and understandings of selected factors, which in turn affect the travel behavior and the mode choice. Defining these factors creates space for estimating and proposing perspectives for the development of expected travel behavior in the context of the planned HSR system on the Prague-Munich route. The presented thesis discusses and interprets the comparison of selected factors between existing modes of transport. The significance of the thesis lies in the understanding and definition of selected factors that are important for HSR planning strategies between Prague and Munich. Keywords: high-speed rail, travel behaviour, transport safety perception, perception of time, grounded theory, theory of planned behavior

High-speed Rail in the Czech Republic from the Perspective of Passengers
Kratochvíl, Petr ; Mervart, Michal (advisor) ; Červinská, Veronika (referee)
This Master's Thesis deals with high-speed rail in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes the history, the evolution and the present of high-speed rail and presents the successful foreign high-speed rail systems. Furthermore this part presents the high-speed railway tracks which are planned in the Czech Republic. The practical part researches the perception of high-speed rail by passengers. Based on the result of the survey, which was realized via the questionnaire, it analyses the criteria that passengers consider important in the choice of means of transport and it looks into passenger willingness to accept higher fare for shorten of travel time. With using the result of the survey it also deals with competitiveness of high-speed rail compared with other modes of transport. The aim of the Thesis is determine whether high-speed rail is attractive from the perspective of passengers and whether it is able to compete with other modes of transport.
High-speed rail in France within the scope of low cost railway companies
Musil, Jaroslav ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Cveček, Jiří (referee)
The Master Thesis focuses on development of high-speed rail in France within the scope of low-cost rail companies. The theoretical part describes the process of formation and development of French railways since the beginning of 19th century. It also discusses reasons leading to the creation of high-speed rail and different rail routes and also organizational structure of the company SNCF. Within analytical part, it describes researched types of transport and different groups of passengers. In the last part of the paper, with a help of multicriterial analyses, the most suitable type of transport on a certain route for each group of passengers is chosen.
High-speed rail system in Asia
Švarc, Michal ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Bíba, Milan (referee)
The Master Thesis focuses on comprehensive evaluation of high-speed rail in Japan. The theoretical part describes the history of the Shinkansen systém, which is currently the standard of the high-speed rail. It also discusses the analysis of the key technologies, support systems and respect for nature. Within the technology part also represents a MAGLEV technology, currently being developer as a succesor to the high-speed traffic. In the analytical part analyzes in detail the different tracks and trains used on them. Finally the author compares the Shinkansen system compared to other modes of public transport and passenger transport in three different length routes.
High-speed rail in the European Union and the analysis of Thalys
Jakubec, Martin ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Letocha, Dušan (referee)
The thesis compares high-speed rail with other means of transport for the purpose to identify its main advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, it determines the scope within which high-speed rail is fully competitive on the transport market. The position of high-speed rail in the European Union is also outlined further in the thesis. These findings are then used to thoroughly analyse the international high-speed system Thalys.
